Organic Whey Protein

The whey is an organically produced pure whey protein concentrate (80%). Whey is the liquid part of milk that remains after adding rennet, as in cheese making. The milk comes from grass-fed cows grazing in the Alps. The cows eat only grass or grass-based feed from pastures that have never been exposed to pesticides. They are raised according to organic standards. This is best for the cows, the environment, and the quality of the whey protein.

Gentle processing without irradiation

The whey is processed at low temperatures and without the use of irradiation. This keeps as much of the protein intact as possible while ensuring the food safety of the whey concentrate.

Organic cocoa powder

The cocoa beans used by NoordCode are grown in regions around the equator, where climate and environment are ideal for the proper ripening of the beans, giving cocoa its distinctive flavour. To ensure the best quality, the pods are harvested and selected by hand. The cocoa is carefully fermented and sun-dried, reducing its natural bitterness. The cocoa is non-alkalized, meaning it retains its natural acidity, rich polyphenol profile, and characteristic aroma. The production process helps preserve most of the beans’ nutritional value in the cocoa powder.

Organic coconut blossom nectar

The coconut blossom nectar comes from Indonesia. It is harvested by tapping the blossoms of coconut palms – no refining, no bleaching, no synthetic processing. The nectar is collected without cutting down the tree – a regenerative and environmentally friendly process.

Coconut blossom nectar has a glycemic index of about 35.

Halal?

The whey powder in this product is Halal certified. However, the facility where we produce and package the whey cacao is not Halal certified, nor is each batch produced in the presence and under the supervision of a Halal certification inspector.

The facility does adhere to the main principles of Halal certification and the Islamic code. The equipment used does not come into contact with haram products; the storage facilities are strictly separated and have no contact whatsoever with other haram products, etc.
