What is Gelatine
Gelatine is produced through the partial breakdown of collagen proteins.
Collagen hydrolysate undergoes an additional hydrolysis step that further breaks the protein into smaller peptides.
Because both ingredients originate from collagen, they contain a similar amino acid profile, including glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline. However, their physical properties differ due to the extent of processing.
Versatile Gelatine
Great Lakes Wellness Beef Gelatine contains one ingredient: bovine gelatine. Its neutral taste, colour and smell make it suitable for a wide range of sweet and savoury recipes.
Use it to make gummies, marshmallows, mousses, moulded desserts, jams and no-bake desserts, or as a thickening ingredient for soups and sauces.
The manufacturer also recommends the gelatine for egg replacement and aspics.
To achieve proper gelling, gelatine is typically "bloomed" by soaking it in cold liquid before being added to a warm preparation.

One tablespoon provides 12 g of grass-fed bovine gelatine and 11 g of protein.
The powder is gluten-free, contains no preservatives and is Kosher, Keto Certified and Paleo Friendly. According to Great Lakes Wellness, it is also iGen Non-GMO tested and glyphosate free.
Recommended use
Pour 1 tablespoon of gelatine into ½ cup of cold water and let sit for approximately 5 minutes.
Dissolve the mixture into 1½ cups of very hot liquid and add any desired flavours and sweeteners. Do not bring to a boil.
Pour the liquid into a mould or tray and allow the gelatine to chill until firm before serving.
