French peas are processed with water in Belgium to produce protein isolate with 90% protein with highly sustainable, environmentally friendly production. The remaining water is purified and recycled. The leftover peas go into biofuel and animal feed production. This makes the production of Clean Lean Protein highly sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Easily digestible and absorbable by removing antinutrients

Most plant protein supplements come from plant seeds and antinutrients are a relevant factor in digestibility. Antinutrients are plant substances that prevent the absorption of nutrients. By doing so, the plant protects their nutrient-rich seeds from predation by animals. Well-known antinutrients are lectin, phytic acid and trypsin inhibitors.

The purification process removes much of the antinutrients and 100% of the lectin from the peas. This makes Clean Lean Protein highly digestible and absorbable.
