Bulletproof Coffee The Maximizer is toxin-free Arabica coffee with chromium, prebiotic fibre, and slippery elm bark. The base is medium-dark roasted Arabica specialty coffee that is tested free of mycotoxins. Chromium picolinate is added to support normal blood sugar levels. Also added are xylo-oligosaccharides and slippery elm bark. Together, these ingredients in coffee provide support for your metabolism.

Toxin-free Arabica specialty coffee

The Maximizer coffee uses specialty grade Arabica beans. Specialty grade is a recognised hallmark that inspects coffee for flavour and quality. Growing specialty coffee requires a lot of work from the coffee farmer, who can therefore charge a good price for it.

Bulletproof uses coffee from small farms with Rainforest Alliance certification. The farmers take good care of their workers, environment and adopt sustainable farming practices.

The Bulletproof process

Bulletproof coffee began with US biohacker Dave Asprey's quest for functional coffee without crash. He identified mould toxins (mycotoxins) as a cause of the crash. Such mould toxins can arise from careless processing or storage of coffee beans.

The Bulletproof process reduces the production of mould toxins. The coffee is also tested for and free of toxins. With this, you will not experience a crash due to mycotoxins after your cup of coffee.

Medium-dark roasted and ground

The Maximizer contains medium-dark roasted Arabica coffee with a deep and rich flavour. The coffee is pre-ground and suitable for filter coffee, French Press and pour-over techniques.

600 μg chromium picolinate

Chromium is an essential mineral with various metabolic functions. For instance, it contributes to normal blood sugar levels. It also supports the normal metabolism of carbohydrates, fat and proteins.

The Maximizer contains 600 μg of chromium as chromium picolinate from Chromax®. Chromium picolinate is 15x more bioavailable than other forms of chromium.

1000 mg Xylo-oligosaccharides

Xylo-oligosaccharides (XOS) are fibres made from corn cobs. The fibres are long chains of the sugar xylose. XOS have been studied as a prebiotic fibre for several decades.

600 mg Slippery elm bark as a traditional herb

Slippery elm (Ulmus rubra) is tree native to North America. The inner bark forms a smooth gel when wet, from which the tree gets its name. The bark is used as a traditional herb.
