Authentic, safe nattokinase

Biomed Nattokinase NSK-SD® contains the patented nattokinase NSK-SD® from Japan. Nattokinase is an enzyme found in natto, a fermented soy product. NSK-SD® comes from real natto and is clinically tested to confirm its effectiveness. Per capsule, you take 2000 FU of nattokinase, the equivalent of one serving of natto and the scientifically studied dosage.

Natto: fermented soybeans

Natto is a dish made from fermented soybeans that is considered beneficial for heart and vascular health. It is very popular in Japan, but the taste does not suit European preferences. The extensive fermentation of soybeans produces many nutrients that are still interesting, such as vitamin K2 and nattokinase.

Nattokinase

Nattokinase is an enzyme produced during the fermentation of soybeans. By eating natto, you also ingest this enzyme. Nattokinase remains active in the body for up to a day.

The activity of nattokinase is expressed in Fibrinolytic Units. This is a measure of activity based on the breakdown of fibrin. Fibrin is a protein that plays a role in the blood clotting process.

Nattokinase supplements are popular due to the interesting results of studies. Unfortunately, many nattokinase products do not contain real nattokinase but an enzyme that resembles it but is not as effective. NSK-SD® Nattokinase

NSK-SD® Nattokinase comes from soybeans fermented with the bacterium Bacillus subtilis. The enzyme nattokinase is purified from the fermentation product.

NSK-SD® Nattokinase is the only nattokinase authorised in Europe after receiving European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) approval. The safety and effectiveness of this enzyme have been confirmed by more than 60 scientific studies. These studies mainly focused on the effects of nattokinase on the heart, blood vessels, and blood clotting.

Reduced vitamin K2 content

NSK-SD Nattokinase contains a very low vitamin K2 content. Vitamin K2, like nattokinase, is a product of fermentation. Vitamin K is involved in the blood clotting process. Large amounts of vitamin K2 can interfere with the effectiveness of anticoagulant medications. Therefore, the K2 in NSK-SD Nattokinase has been removed.
