What is Pentadecanoic acid (C15:0)?

Pentadecanoic acid is an odd chain saturated fatty acid with a chain of 15 carbon atoms, also called C15:0. It is found in small amounts in milk fat and even smaller amounts in some types of meat, fish, and plants. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in C15:0 as a nutrient.

Dr. Stephanie Venn-Watson, a veterinary epidemiologist, first discovered the role of pentadecanoic acid while caring for older dolphins. Further research showed that C15:0 also plays a role in humans. Various studies have now been conducted with C15:0 as a supplement, including clinical studies in humans.

100mg FA15™ pure pentadecanoic acid

Fatty15 delivers 100 mg of FA15™ pentadecanoic acid. FA15™ is synthetically produced pentadecanoic acid with a purity of at least 98%. This stable form of C15:0 is made without animal products and is, therefore, suitable for vegetarians and vegans. 
In clinical research, FA15™ was dosed at 100 mg per day, the same dosage as fatty15.
