Organic, Single Origin Arabica coffee beans

Fair Trade, single origin coffee from south-western Honduras

Four Sigmatic uses Pacayal Coffee, Fair Trade certified coffee from a family plantation in southwestern Honduras. It grows organic Arabica coffee at 5500 feet (1650m) above sea level.

Dark coffee with hints of nuts and chocolate

The coffee is dark roasted and has a strong taste with hints of nuts and chocolate. In addition, the yacon juice powder gives a mildly sweet flavour that balances the bitterness of the coffee and mushroom extract.

500 mg Organic Lion's Mane extract

Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus) is a fungus found in North America, Europe and Asia and grown and traditionally used mainly in Asia. Four Sigmatic makes an extract from organic tree-grown Lion's Mane fruiting bodies, which contain the most active compounds. The double extract, made from extraction with water and alcohol, is spray-dried so that only the substances from Lion's Mane remain in the powder extract.

Organic yacon juice with prebiotic fibre

Yacon is a tuber from the Andes mountains in South America. It has crunchy, sweet-tasting roots that are full of fructooligosaccharides (FOS). FOS are fibres that serve as food for intestinal bacteria. The juice of this tuber has a sweet taste without containing sugars.

Innovative combination of coffee beans and extracts

Four Sigmatic spent 10 years combining mushroom extracts with whole coffee beans. The solution was to add the extracts directly after roasting. The right temperature and timing ensure good adhesion, so no additives are needed.

The mushroom extracts are water-soluble. They dissolve in the coffee when you pour hot water over the (ground) beans.
