Bone Broth: A Long Tradition

Bone broth has been around for a long time. Bone broth is made by simmering bones in water for a long time (hours to days). This dissolves proteins and nutrients from the bones. The bones give a mild, savoury flavour to the stock. This is a perfect base for soups, stews, or as a hot drink in between meals.

100% Bone Broth Powder Without Additives

Paleo Powders Bone Broth consists of 100% dried beef bone broth. No additives, no other ingredients. Paleo Powders uses meaty bones with bone marrow and pure groundwater to make their broth. The powder dissolves quickly in water or other liquids, just like a bouillon cube.

Use Bone Broth as a Source of Collagen

You can use Paleo Powders Bone Broth to take extra collagen. Bones contain a lot of collagen which is released when simmering. The broth powder is therefore 95% protein by weight.

The 5 Types of Collagen in Paleo Powders Bone Broth

Collagen is a protein found in many different parts of the body. Collagen in skin is different from that in cartilage, blood vessels, or bones. The amino acid composition, 3D structure, and function differ for each type of collagen:

  • Type I: Found mainly in skin, hair, nails, bones, and ligaments.
  • Type II: Found mainly in cartilage between joints.
  • Type III: Common along with Type I in skin and blood vessels.
  • Type IV: Found in the layers of skin and supports other tissues, forming part of the cell membrane structure.
  • Type V: Found in the skin and placenta and co-occurs with Type I.

Each type of collagen contains slightly different amino acids. With Paleo Powders Bone Broth, you take the profile of amino acids that your body also uses itself to make collagen. So it's a good strategy to eat different types of collagen if you want to support your own collagen production.

Collagen is great for increasing your intake of glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline, but it does not contain all the essential amino acids. Therefore, you should combine it with protein sources that contain all essential amino acids.

High Quality and Animal Welfare

Paleo Powders selects cattle that have been reared in an animal-friendly manner and are therefore of the highest quality. With animal products, more animal welfare also means better quality. The better the animal lives, the higher the quality and nutritional value of the products.

From Grass-Fed, Organically Raised European Cattle

Grass is the natural and most healthy food for cattle. Paleo Powders uses cattle that eat grass all year round. The cattle can graze freely in the summer and are given silage in the winter. Silage is made by fermenting cut grass. This process takes place naturally by making grass mounds or bales.

Tested Twice for Heavy Metals

Paleo Powders strives for high quality and purity by using clean, sustainable ingredients. In addition, each batch of Paleo Powders Bone Broth undergoes thorough screening and double analysis for heavy metals to ensure safety and quality. The average result of such a test is:

  • Arsenic (As): > 0.10 mg/kg = > 0.1 ppm
  • Cadmium (Cd): > 0.01 mg/kg = > 0.01 ppm
  • Lead (Pb): > 0.05 mg/kg = > 0.05 ppm
  • Mercury (Hg): > 0.005 mg/kg = > 0.005 ppm
