Neurotransmitter GABA
GABA stands for gamma-aminobutyric acid. The brain uses this substance as a neurotransmitter: a signalling substance. GABA is mainly associated with relaxation and an inhibitory effect.
Normally, you cannot absorb GABA very well when you take it. Quicksilver Scientific therefore packages it in liposomes, making absorption much better.
Amino acid L-theanine
L-theanine is an amino acid commonly found in green tea. It is best known for a relaxing effect and compensates for the activating effects of caffeine. L-theanine can cross the blood-brain barrier and also affects signals in the brain.
